01Who operates this store

This website and the sale of every item on it are operated by the company identified below. Tenar is the trading name it sells under; the registered name is the one shown here and it is the name that appears on your invoice.

Entries marked a confirmar are being obtained from the Commercial Registry. We publish them the day they reach us in writing. We do not publish an approximation of a registry number, because a wrong registry number is worse than an absent one: it points a reader at the wrong company.

Every route below reaches the same team. Written contact is the one we recommend, because it gives both of us a record.

We answer written enquiries within one business day and never later than five.

03Prices, currency and IVA

Every price on this site is stated in US dollars (USD). There is no currency switcher, because a converted figure that changes between the product page and the payment page is not a price.

Where Portuguese imposto sobre o valor acrescentado (IVA) applies, it is charged at the standard rate of 23% and is included in the price shown. Sales to destinations outside the European Union may be zero-rated for Portuguese IVA; in that case the import duties and taxes of the destination country are payable by the recipient and are not collected by us. The invoice always states which of the two applies.

All items are sold outright, once. There is no membership, no subscription, no stored balance and no loyalty currency anywhere on this site, so nothing here renews or recurs.

04Supervisory authorities

Consumer protection and market surveillance for a Portuguese trader selling at distance are exercised by:

• DGC — Direção-Geral do Consumidor, consumidor.gov.pt
• ASAE — Autoridade de Segurança Alimentar e Económica, asae.gov.pt
• CNPD — Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, for anything concerning personal data, cnpd.pt

You may also use the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico at any moment, with or without contacting us first. A complaint filed there reaches the competent authority directly and we are required to answer it within 15 business days.

05Content, images and intellectual property

The photographs, drawings, text and page designs on this site were produced for it and belong to the operator identified above. They may not be reproduced for commercial use without written permission.

The technical drawings of the statutory footwear pictograms follow Annex I of Directive 94/11/EC. The Directive itself and the symbols it prescribes are public law, not our property; the drawings we made of them are.

None of the shoes sold here reproduces the shape, side marking, colour blocking or other distinguishing feature of another maker’s model. Casual footwear is an area where that happens routinely and we review every pattern against it before it goes into production. If you believe a model here infringes a right you hold, write to support@alteicalcado.shop with the registration or evidence of the right and we will answer within five business days.

06Accuracy of this page

The company number and any registry particulars are published on this page and on Condições de venda, and nowhere else on the site. If you find them repeated somewhere they should not be, tell us and we will remove them.

If anything on this page is out of date or inconsistent with the Commercial Registry, the Registry is correct and we are wrong. Write to us and we will fix it.
